Following the Memorial service, which is held at the Newbridge Cenotaph, opposite the Memo at 11am, Newbridge Memo will be unveiling a WW1 Exhibition in memory of the fallen soldiers.
The exhibition will include interpretation that covers the lives of documented soldiers as well as a display of WW1 artefacts and memorabilia dating from the period.
Refreshments will also be available in the Ballroom following the service.
This exhibition is supported by the Big Lottery & Heritage Lottery funds.
Abercarn RFC invite you to join them on Remembrance Sunday to remember the service men and women, who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Abercarn RFC will join the Royal British Legion as usual for a church service and a silence at the cenotaph. They’ll then be raising funds for the Royal British Legion with entertainment at the Clubhouse.
Mark & co will take you back in time with classic, soothing, big band jazz, layered with his faultless vocals and charm.
There will be a limited number of tickets for this event, early booking is strongly advised.

The Royal British Legion are be putting on a weekend of events to mark the commemoration of the end of the First World War starting off with this fantastic variety concert.
Highlights include Celynen Silver Band with Cantorion Pontllanfraith, performances by Richard Beavis and friends, Robert Knight and friends, followed with a play by June Watkins and Paul Dugmore.

As we approach the 100th anniversary of armistice, St. Martin’s Church are hosting a Commemorative Exhibition of The Great War to offer people the opportunity to learn, empathise and reflect.
This event will run for the whole week leading up to Remembrance Sunday.
This half term, Newbridge Memo are holding a fantastic free to attend workshop. This felt poppy making workshop is being held by the talented felting tutor Sally Pointer.
This event will be held as drop in sessions in two segments at the Library space onsite.
