These days when something breaks, we just throw it away and buy new. But, what if there was another way? What if your item could be fixed instead? Well, if you fancy saving your wallet – and the planet in the process- why not head to this new event in The Old Library this upcoming March?
Bring your broken or damaged item and our volunteer repairers will try to fix it. Repairs are free and you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee (and maybe even a cheeky slice of cake) while you wait. We can also show you how it is done too! The best way to reuse and recycle there is! Drop us a message on Facebook and we will do our best to ensure a repairer is available to fix your item. On offer will be basic bicycle maintenance, electronics and electrical fixings, sewing, woodworking… We will have a look at most things, except microwaves as they are too dangerous :)Do you think you could be a volunteer repairer? More fixers are always welcome. If you would like to be part of the Repair Cafe Team, please contact us now to volunteer your services! Looking for another great event?
