The Big Cheese in Caerphilly

This year The Big Cheese is back but with an exciting revamp that is sure to bring in the crowds!

This year’s new look festival will have an exciting more contemporary feel, with a brand-new  layout,  local street food vendors, a giant urban beach, a live lounge bar, THREE huge food halls and live cookery demonstrations too!

Wales’ largest castle will still remain the star of the festival with free entry to Caerphilly Castle all weekend. There will also be an entertainment program that’ll stretch from morning until evening and will include medieval re-enactments, live music and a packed program in The Great Hall.

The Big Cheese Festival brings together local and regional Welsh food and drink producers in three massive food halls, possibly the largest in the country. With a dedicated cheese market (featuring quality cheese producers from all over the country), this really will be the perfect event for any self confessed foodie.

Exciting new street food vendors will be dotted around the site with show cooking and some unusual and exotic tastes. From noodles to crepes, there’s a feast to be had!

The Big Cheese is a FREE event.

The event will  begin on Friday 26th July at 3pm and the spectacular fireworks finale will be at 10pm. Please note that  stalls and food halls will open on Saturday and Sunday only.

The full program will then start at 10am on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July.
