LV Esther at Newbridge Memo
17 November, 2017 @ 6:30 pm£10.50
The Fuse Network of South Wales presents an exclusive performance of LV Esther as the only venue in Wales to showcase this phenominal piece.
This stunning new production was updated and extended by Ray Goudie (ngm co-director; co-writer of Luv Esther) during the last year of his life. He was very excited to see the show tour again and impact even more people. This is part of Ray’s legacy! Following in the footsteps of other hit musicals such as Joseph and Jesus Christ Superstar, Luv Esther is based on a Biblical character – bold, brave and beautiful, there is no doubt that you will fall in love with this amazing heroine, Esther. Esther was an orphan and a refugee; a stranger in a strange land. As a young teenager she was taken from the only home she had ever known and was eventually chosen to become the Queen. It was at this point that she was challenged that perhaps she was called to royalty for such a time as this. Taking her life in her hands she goes in to see the King, knowing that she is facing certain death, to plead for the life of her nation. This is an amazing story of courage, strength and dignity!
“Great soundtrack, great dancing, inspiring show, totally infectious! Don’t miss it!” Kevan Frost, West End Composer
“Gripping from the toe-tapping start to the sing-along finale.” Audience Member, Southampton
This new production will be directed by Murray Watts (co-founder of Riding Lights, writer of The Miracle Maker). The set design is by Sean Cavanagh (his credits include West End stage design for Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dreamboats and Petticoats & The Rat Pack). On board as our Musical Supervisors are Pierce Tee and Matt Smith (Pierce’s credits include Dancing in the Streets and Rock of Ages, Matt’s credits include Beautiful and School of Rock).
At the end of the show, a collection will be taken for agencies that are working with refugees.
